Hydroforming with Pressure Dome - HMU

HMU provides the ideal method for producing parts with complex shapes in one operation. Also suitable in situations when high demands for surface and tolerances are required. The forming principle of a HMU unit is based upon creating a high pressure in an enclosed chamber positioned on the press bed. The pressure works against a penetrating punch placed on the slide. During the process, the blank obtains the same shape as the punch.
