Service Technician

The Service Technician will be responsible for installing and troubleshooting electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical applications. You will also be responsible for trouble shooting press and automation problems alone and unsupervised as well as the following duties:

  • Repair and maintain any equipment as requested by our customers
  • Oversee installations of all new equipment at the customer’s facility
  • Responsible for all aspects of making field design changes needed for the equipment to fulfill any requirements outlined in the runoff test in order for the customer to accept the equipment
  • Keep Project Leader informed of the status of the installation until it is complete

Qualifications:

  • 4-year engineering degree
  • 8-10 years of automation system installation and troubleshooting experience
  • Operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes; motors, servos, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial / electronic controls and power transmission systems
  • Good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Familiarity with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC’s and Dos/Windows based systems a plus
  • Strong problem solving ability with practical, mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Ability to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Must be fully computer literate with Microsoft environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a mature and professional manner
  • Willing to travel approximately 60-70% of the time, which can include both domestic and international travel; Must be willing to stay away from home for 2–4 weeks at a time 
  • Valid driver license, no major infractions
  • Valid passport and other travel documents as applicable
  • No criminal record
  • Reliable transportation
