On May 20, AP&T will participate in Great Designs in Steel (GDIS) 2026, the premier automotive steel symposium organized by the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI). The event takes place at the Vibe Credit Union Showplace in Novi, Michigan, and brings together automotive experts and leaders for a full day of presentations on advanced high-strength steels, future mobility, and manufacturing technologies.
Jan Larsson, Business Development Manager at AP&T, will present Press hardening of integrated large and complex components – AP&T® SkyLines. The presentation highlights how AP&T's SkyLines concept addresses the automotive industry's transformation driven by electrification, sustainability, and the need for higher shares of recycled material. By combining advanced press hardening technology with Multi-Part Integration (MPI) and the innovative Multi-Layer Furnace (MLF) design, SkyLines enables the production of large and complex structural components while optimizing footprint, process efficiency, and energy consumption.
With modular automation and servohydraulic press technology, SkyLines provides OEMs with a future-proof platform for high-volume EV manufacturing – aligning with industry goals for sustainability, performance, and cost efficiency.
For over 20 years, Great Designs in Steel has been at the forefront of showcasing the latest steel trends and material applications in new cars and trucks. We look forward to sharing our expertise and connecting with industry professionals at this year's symposium.

AP&T will be participating in Automate 2026, North America's largest robotics and automation trade show, taking place June 22–25 in Chicago, Illinois. The event is organized by the Association for Advancing Automation and is expected to attract about 50,000 professionals from manufacturing, logistics, energy, and other sectors.
We will be in booth 35045 in the North Building to present our automation solutions for sheet metal forming – a modular-based program including press robots, transfer systems, stackers and gantry systems and destackers. Covering all steps of the process, from blank feeding to finished part handling, our solutions are designed to help manufacturers boost productivity and energy efficiency in both new and existing press lines.
With more than 1,000 exhibitors and a world-class conference program covering subjects such as robotics, AI-driven manufacturing, motion control, and vision systems, Automate 2026 is a great opportunity to connect with industry leaders and explore the innovations of the future of manufacturing.
We look forward to meeting you there!
